Cécile Zarokian Teams up With Amouage to Release “Silver Oud”
Silver Oud was released exclusively at Harrod’s, select Amouage boutiques and on Amouage’s website this September. The fragrance was composed by perfumer Cécile Zarokian under the creative direction of Renaud Salmon.
The Middle Eastern powerhouse adds Silver Oud to its Library Collection, totalling 13 fragrances. Alike the other 12 scents, Silver Oud bases itself on a text. The new fragrance is a depiction of “The Red and The Black”, a 19th century French novel by Stendhal.
The Library Collection features scents that are “Inspired by the omniscient allure of a library this collection is a celebration of integrity, creativity and virtuosity. A place where the soul leaves an imprint of the art of living this Library Collection is a poetic homage to an olfactory experience.”
The new release features an exquisite choice of notes with Patchouli Molecular Distillation, Cypriol Essence and Virginia Cedar Essence on the top. In the heart, we may find Oud Assam Essence and Vanilla Madagascar Absolute. Concluding the release is Ambrarome, Birch Essence, Guaiac Wood Essence and Castoreum in the base.
The fragrance is available in a 50ml size and retails for $305 USD on Amouage’s website. The bottle is styled similarly to the rest of the Library Collection and is packaged in a black box with smoke looming. As you can see below, Cécile believes the scent can be worn whenever and is more so an expression of your personality.
