Atkinsons James: A Tribute to a Legacy
Atkinsons is one of the oldest perfume houses in the UK. Since 1799, the British perfume and soap maker has created unique and pleasant scents, but they only release a few scents annually. The last one was in 2020, and that makes this release even more exciting. James is inspired by the founder of the brand, James Atkinson, and serves as a tribute to the heritage of the brand.
James derives its character from that of its original entrepreneur, being a charming and sophisticated experience. The elixir creates a powerful statement about the pioneers of the past, but with a contemporary style that suits a modern man’s tastes.
Top notes: Finger Lime, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, and Clary Sage
Middle notes: Finger Lime, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, and Clary Sage
Base notes: Patchouli, Akigalawood, Musk, and Patchouli
Pink pepper bursts forward with its fiery warmth, while zesty finger lime creates a fresh contrast. A mixture of white flowers and violet creates a flower-laden heart, which is rounded off by elegant vetiver and woody patchouli.
Atkinsons James is housed in a jet-black bottle that is standard for the Atkinsons line. The cap is also black, featuring a basketweave style. The label is circular and minimalist in design with the Atkinsons name raised at the bottom. James comes in a 100ml Eau de Parfum concentration and is currently available in Europe, which means a US release shouldn’t be very far behind it.
