Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt: Herrera Launches a Contrasting Flanker
Carolina Herrera has released Bad Boy Cobalt, a flanker to Herrera’s most popular men’s fragrance. Cobalt puts a new spin on “the duality of modern masculinity,” with mineral sensuality and wild freshness.
Bad Boy Cobalt is sold in Herrera’s staple lightning bolt design which is found across the Bad Boy line. The electric blue juice emanates through the see-through portion of the body and is surrounded by a contrasting black cap and base.
Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt is marketed as so: “This invigorating contrasting fragrance features fresh, aromatic top notes of pink pepper that are intensified by a floral yet masculine heart note of geranium. The mineral accents of the base with a hint of truffle are invigorated by smoked oak wood and extracts of ethically sourced vetiver and sensuous cedar wood.”
The fragrance is categorized by Herrera as an Aromatic and Woody scent that features key notes of Truffle, Geranium and Vetiver. At the top, Pink Pepper and Lavender combine for a spicy and aromatic freshness. Below in the base Geranium and Black Plum continue the fresh accord, adding dark, fruity sweetness. Finally, a Truffle Accord, Vetiver and Cedar Wood round out the fragrance with a stiff background.
Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt is a very deep, contrasting fragrance in comparison to the original. At the top of the original Bad Boy, White and Black Pepper blend with Bergamot for some spicy freshness. Down below, Sage and Cedar meld into Tonka Bean, Cacao and Amberwood in the base.
Bad Boy was first flanked in 2021, where Bruno Jovanovic, Fanny Bal and Nicolas Beaulieu opted to focus on the popular note of Leather. It joined Vetiver in the base which gave the fragrance an earthy and warm feel. In the heart, Black Pepper and Geranium were utilized as a call back to the original release. Finally, Grapefruit was paired with Cannabis at the top.
Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt is currently available on Herrera’s Spanish website. The flanker is sold in three different sizes, each of which is rigged with an atomizer sprayer. 50ml of Bad Boy Cobalt is priced at $83 USD, 100ml will cost around $115 USD and the 150ml retails for $144 USD.
