On New Year’s Eve, Victor Wong announced on his Facebook that Zoologist would be releasing Cow in the spring of 2022. Over the years, Zoologist has won multiple awards across different platforms due to the quality of their ingredients and the uniqueness of their scent profiles. Created by Nathalie Feisthauer, Cow is a “light green floral with milky undertones, and it’s absolutely beautiful,” says Wong.
Cow by Zoologist tells the tale of a calf who has finally taken its first step. It sits in the corner of a meadow amidst luscious greenery, an imposing mountain range and clouds which cascade above it. Upon first step, the calf prods its snout, “rooting at its mother, until the release of warm milk signals a satisfying welcome to this vast new world.”
The fragrance is described by Wong as a “bucolic scene, a myriad of scents from Mother Nature’s nurturing bosom.” Cow includes delicate florals which dance atop greenery and apple that “gently sweetens the soft aroma of fresh milk.”
Cow features top notes of Sage and Apple. Below in the heart are notes of Milk, Lily of the Valley, Heliotrope, Violet and Jasmine. While Cedarwood, Vetiver, Benzoin, Musks and Amber round out the 2022 release.
On Monday the 3rd, I have the honour of travelling to North York in Toronto in order to visit the Zoologist showroom. From there, I will be able to test the fragrance, subsequently releasing a review on the day.
After reviewing Wong’s entire line, which you can find here and here, I’m looking forward to testing Cow. I remember being extremely fond of the milk accord which exudes from Elephant and the Apple which is found in Panda.
