This summer, Hermès is pleased to announce their new invigorating fragrance under the name Eau de Basilic Pourpre.
Christian Nagal, the creative director behind Hermès perfumes, has made a decision which is to retain the minimalistic approach that is a stable in the creation of Hermès perfumes. To create this particular perfume, Nagal was inspired by a specific memory recollection, which is a memory of a market gardener’s lush basil stand. This mental image stuck around in Nagal’s mind thanks to the beauty of its simplicity.
Hermes Eau de Basilic Pourpre is best described by its creators as “bursting with nature and infinitely chic.” Its creation is marked by house Hermès’s signature simple yet elegant design.
the name of the perfume speaks volumes of the precise selection of notes used in its making. The perfume heavily highlights the idea of reminiscence as well as the emotions evoked by each memory. Regarding packaging, the perfume will arrive in the iconic case of the house’s colognes in a bright, sharp green in an equally simplistic design, reflecting on the freshness of the basil leaves and further inciting a natural, early summer feel.
Fragrance notes: Bergamot, Basil, Geranium, Patchouli and Spices
