EX Nihilo Idle Hour New Fragrance: Contemplating Light and Shadows

The French house of Ex Nihilo has released a new fragrance, Idle Hour. This will be the brand’s 9th release of the year, which is rather impressive for a smaller house.

Idle Hour is inspired by a retreat in sunny California as the night encroaches and casts a shadow upon everything it touches. A contrast of bergamot and ylang-ylang that represents the sun’s radiance is met with dark akigalawood and incense to cast its shade of darkness on the composition. Woody cedar and tonka bean add nuance to the blend with the fiery spark of pink pepper. The perfume is one of Ex Nihilo’s collaboration projects with Amanda Charchian.
