Francesca Bianchi Byzantine Amber: Lost in History, but not the Olfactory
Brand Francesca Bianchi has just their newest fragrance addition to their backlog of perfumes. The house is delighted to introduce Byzantine Amber, a new fragrance for both men and women.
After the success of Libertine Neroli and Unspoken Musk, this marvelous trinity will be completed with this new launch of Byzantine Amber. This series has got to be one of the house’s most innovative so far, with the talented Italian perfumer behind the helm, making sure that only the most refined raw materials are used while adding the brand’s stylistic touch.
As the name suggests, it is a kind of homage to the old-gone civilization, the Byzantium Empire and its beautiful mosaics, and this is reflected in that decadent composition, such as those of Ravenna. The other inspiration behind this release is the painting Salome by Gustave Moreau, which evoked a whirlwind of emotions within Francesca Bianchi that ranged between the dark and mysterious as well as the lighthearted.
Byzantine Amber looks promising so far, with a plethora of interesting notes. The top notes include bergamot and cinnamon while the heart notes proudly showcase geranium for that exciting twist on the formula and finally, ending with the base notes of Benzoin, Labdanum, Frankincense, Leather, Styrax, and Ambergris.
Thanks to this distinctive blend, the scent manages to capture the hypnotic feel of the traditional amber, made even richer thanks to the addition of florals and spices.
Byzantine Amber is now available for purchase on Francesca Bianchi’s official website in 30 ml Extrait de Parfum.
