Givenchy Faux Semblant: A Walk in the Woods
Givenchy has been busy as of late in preparation for their newest launch of Faux Semblant. This new fragrance release will join its sisters in the La Collection Particulière as a unisex fragrance. This line has already seen its share of success and hype thanks to the launch of Equivoque, Noctambule, Foudroyant, MMW as well as many more. From the outset, Faux Semblant seems to be on equal footing as these other releases, if not brings more to the table.
Faux Semblant, or False Pretense in English, is a mysterious fragrance that stems from the dark appeal of Givenchy’s Hôtel Particulier. The main concept behind its creation is to balance out a contrast between light and shadows to come up with a scent that moves from one spectrum to another, creating floral and woody composition that appeals to men and women.
As far as the note blend is concerned, Givenchy’s Faux Semblant implements a rich essence of Australian Sandalwood as well as unexpected and intense facets of Orange Blossom Absolute. The top notes include Essence of Frankincense from Somalia and Frankincense. As for the middle notes, the fragrance includes an opulent White Flower and the addictive and precious amber notes of Miel de Provence.
The base notes play a big part in creating this woody dimension to the fragrance with the warm, rich and elegant Sandalwood mixed with of the Essence of Oud Wood from Malaysia.
La Collection Particulière Faux Semblant is available on Givenchy’s official website in 100ml Eau de Parfum Intense.
