With purple haze streaming across your gaze, feast your eyes on Goldfield & Banks Purple Suede, the newest release from the house. Extracted from the heart of Australia’s finest ingredients, Purple Suede brings you on a journey through a rich and dry trail.
The bottle features its usual styling, except it’s been touched by King Midas himself. Its gold exterior is contrasted by a deep purple label with a black and matching gold font. On the top, the cap has been seemingly split to give off the woody effect.
“In the beginning, a closed universe opens up. You enter the tack room: the intoxicating vigour of equestrian scents envelops you. The creamy, caressing aromas of full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather of all ages, nobly arranged and cared for, line your senses.”
At the top, Purple suede opens with Leather and Lavender from Tasmania. “More than a century ago, small seeds of precious lavender left the South of France and were vigorously replanted in an unknown land, of intense orange colour, at the end of the world. These small shrubs with foliage and fragrant flowers offer themselves to the burning Tasmanian sun: the alchemy of this experience gives rise to an olfactory renaissance unique in the world.”
Down in the heart are Cilantro, Rustic Hyssop Flowers and Smoky “Woodleather.” Then, the fragrance concludes with notes of Patchouli, Civet, Cashmeran and Animalic Amber. What you get is “A leathery aromatic juice of lavender, pink pepper, hyssop flowers, civet, smoky woods and dark amber that encapsulates the dry heat of Australian summers among fields of purple.”
Goldfield & Banks Purple Suede is available at boutiques worldwide. It is only available in a 100ml size and retails for $205 USD.
