Joop has excitingly announced the release of Homme Le Parfum, a multi-faceted fragrance that has been the staple scent of the brand since 1989. The Homme line began its time as an aromatic Fougere which was considered the peak of masculinity. Now, Homme Le Parfum celebrates the fluidity of the term.
Homme Le Parfum features the same design found in prior releases. The bottle is coloured a piercing red with gold lettering across the body. At the top is a midnight black cap and floating at the bottom reads “Le Parfum” in an ominous and powerful way.
Note Breakdown of Joop Homme Le Parfum
As of now, the house has released a linear note breakdown which may be subject to change closer to the release date. But, the house has officially announced the inclusion of Lavender, Iris, Vanilla, Praline and Tonka Bean.
Personally, I love the breakdown and truly enjoy the use of modern, masculine notes. The original Joop Homme focused heavily on florals, citrus’ and dense woods. Specifically, the Vanilla accord was loud and in your face.
More recently, Joop gave fresh lovers Homme Ice and those who wanted a warm hug, Homme Eau de Parfum. Le Parfum shares notes with only one of the two flankers as they both include Vanilla and Tonka Bean in their note arsenal.
Joop Homme Le Parfum is available in a 75ml and 125ml bottle size, equipped with an atomizer. Currently, the fragrance is available at select boutiques. Joop has not officially announced the release date on their website. For 75ml, the fragrance is going to run you around $65 USD. 125ml will retail for around $88 USD.
