Indigo and Magenta Tanzanite: Armani is Set to Add 2 New Fragrances to Its Prive Line

Giorgio Armani is set to release Indigo Tanzanite and Magenta Tanzanite this coming April. The pair pays homage to Tanzania, an African country with a waking savannah and mysterious atmosphere at dusk.

Indigo Tanzanite is an oriental, woody fragrance that is available in an Eau de Parfum concentration. The fragrance and its bottle design base themselves on the “evocation of the mysterious atmosphere of the Tanzanian plains and sumptuous furs at dusk, recalling the purple-blue colour of the tanzanite stone.”

The tanzanite stone is native to Tanzania, only found in the northern portion of the country. It is seen as one of the rarest gemstones on earth, and geologists believe that the stone may be mined to depletion within the next twenty years.

Indigo Tanzanite bases its bottle design on the stone itself, utilizing a version of the stone which has an indigo hue. Inside of the stunning bottle is a fragrance that has top notes of Bergamot Essence and Almond. In the heart is the sole note of Heliotrope while the fragrance concludes with Labdanum, Patchouli Essence, Benzoin and Tolu-Balsam Absolute.

Armani describes the scent as so, “The enigmatic and comforting blend of labdanum, benzoin and tolu balm creates a soft amber base, revealing the natural facet of patchouli. Magnified by an enveloping almond accord, it reveals its unexpected facet in a unique fragrance.”

Magenta Tanzanite is designed very similarly to Indigo. The bottle follows the design that is found amidst the rest of the prive line, opting for the tanzanite stone in a magenta hue. Once the cap is opened, you are exposed to a fragrance that plays on the warmth of the Savannah.

Magenta Tanzanite is a spicy, oriental fragrance with top notes of Cardamom Extract, Ginger Essential Oil and Bergamot Essential Oil. In the heart, you can find Coffee Extract, Cinnamon Essential Oil and Myrrh. Finally, Tonka Bean, Vanilla Extract and Tobacco Absolute conclude Magenta Tanzanite.

Armani describes Magenta Tanzanite as a fragrance that captures the tension of captivating moments in the desert. “The roasted heat of a unique blend of tobacco leaf and coffee creates a wild and sensual aura, contrasted by a fresh, spicy top of cardamom, ginger and bergamot. As this Giorgio Armani creation oscillates between vibrant and warm facets, the voluptuous vanilla and tonka bean bring a soothing softness.”

Both fragrances will be available on the Armani website in April, retailing for $325 USD each. Indigo and Magenta Tanzanite are sold in a 100ml size atomized bottle and are concentrated at the Eau de Parfum level.
