Guerlain L’Art & La Matiere Jasmin Bonheur: Jasmine Rainbows

Guerlain releases always excite me. Especially when it’s from the L’Art & La Matiere line, even if they are a bit pricy. The quality of ingredients that they use in this line is superb, and now Guerlain Perfumer Delphine Jelk takes on a kaleidoscope of jasmine scented hues in Jasmin Bonheur.

Inspired by the works of the late French artist Henri Matisse, the newest release from Guerlain seeks to combine the bright and happy colors that the famous painter used in his works. Bright orange fruitiness from apricot, vivacious violet from iris, and soft pink from rose are all bundled up with cheerful jasmine petals.

“I created a wonderfully elegant jasmine by tinting this white flower with joyful tones, just like Matisse, a painter who expressed the art of happiness so masterfully.” – Delphine Jelk, Guerlain perfumer

Jasmin Bonheur is a happy stroll in sunny southern France, with the sun-soaked aromas of summer. A joyous fruit-laden ode to fresh flowers and fresh fruit picked right off the trees. A smile on your face and a cold drink in your hand, these are the days that you remember for a lifetime.

AM JASMIN SECONDARY VISUAL PDP EDP 02 FACE 100ML

A fruity jasmine is nothing new. If you can pull it off with rose and apricot, while making it unique, it would be brilliant. If anyone can do this, it would be Delphine Jelk, who has already created some masterful blends for the legendary Parisian house. Honestly though, I am more excited to smell this on a woman than myself. This seems like exactly the type of scent I am drawn to, and with a touch of Guerlain class, it would seal the deal.

Jasmin Bonheur is available in the same bottle that the entire L’Art & La Matiere line is, but in a pink hue. It does have a special Matisse edition that features vibrant patterns inspired by the artist’s works on the top of the cap, along with a box with splashes of vibrant flowers and designs. This edition is in collaboration with Maison Matisse, which is headed up by a family member of Henri Matisse. It is priced at $285 for 50ml, $380 for 100ml, and $570 for 200ml. I couldn’t find a price on the Matisse Edition, but it only comes in 200ml.
