Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum: An Intense Flanker to the 2019 Release

Jean Paul Gaultier has announced the release of Le Beau Le Parfum, a devilish flanker to the 2019 release. Le Beau was originally designed to flank Gaultier’s longstanding range: Le Male. The entire collection is known around the fragrance community for its loud and sweet tendencies which align with the clubbing lifestyle.

Le Beau Le Parfum follows the decades-long flacon design that has held Le Male and all of its successors. The Le Beau line seemingly went on a bit of a bulk during the pandemic, as the bust is subsequently wider and thicker than before. The chest area stands out and is coloured in black, which subsequently morphs into aquatic blue as we progress further down. At the base, the crotch area is covered in what appears to be a tropical, gold leaf.

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum has been marketed as a fragrance that is mischievous, paradisical and deliciously forbidden. At the top, Ginger marries with Pineapple to create a spicy and tropical aroma. Down in the heart are Cypress, Iris and Coconut which offer fruity aromas and sweet florals. Finally, the base rounds out this intense fragrance with notes of Tonka Bean, Ambergris, Patchouli and Sandalwood.

Quentin Bisch’s creation took inspiration from the original Le Beau, utilizing the Tonka Bean from the base and Coconut Woods from the heart. Le Beau finds itself just beyond the halfway point on the Gaultier intensity scale, certainly set to become surpassed by the Le Parfum.

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum is available in two sizes and will have an atomized sprayer at the top. To spray the fragrance, pull out the tab like a grenade and spray once behind each ear, once behind the neck and on each of your wrists. Don’t rub as you’ll break up the addictive particles that leave the bottle! The 75ml bottle will cost around $82 USD and the 125ml retails for $115 USD.
