Fashion house Kenzo has released Homme Eau de Toilette, a fragrance that revisits the past. Back in 1991, Kenzo released Kenzo pour Homme cologne. The Aromatic, Aquatic scent took inspiration from other successful scents in that era. It had a long note breakdown, utilizing an array of Aromatics and making good use of its florals.
The new release is packaged in a dark turquoise bottle, shaped like a bamboo rod that has been cut on a slant. Beneath the upper portion lies the atomizer which has been camouflaged amidst the bamboo.
Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette features notes of the Sea, Calypsone and Nutmeg at the top. Below in the heart are Pine and Patchouli, while the base concludes with Cedar and Sandalwood. The fragrance utilizes citrus accords, an aromatic note and woods in order to create a modern rendition of the 1991 release.
Although back then, Kenzo pour Homme Cologne utilized a variety of different notes in order to achieve its scent profile. The citrus accords came from Bergamot and Lemon and the woody aromas revolved around Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Vetiver and Oakmoss. Pour Homme Cologne also utilized more aromatics, listing Pine, Juniper and Jasmine on the note breakdown.
Just last year, Kenzo released Homme Eau de Toilette Intense. The fragrance had considerably more similarities to this year’s release, utilizing the unique notes of Calypsone and Fig. In the top, the peculiar citrus note was paired with Sea Notes, Pink Pepper and Spices. In the heart, Fig was apparent in fruit and tree form amidst Vetiver. Finally in the base was Sandalwood, Patchouli and Akigalawood.
Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette takes a modern spin on a classic fragrance. All of the staple accords have been revamped in order to suit today’s rapid-paced fragrance industry.
The fragrance is available in three different sizes: 40ml, 60ml and 110ml. Currently, the product can be found at online beauty stores April and Pinalli. The 40ml costs around $56 USD, 60ml will take $79 USD off of your credit card and 110ml is priced at $105 USD.
