Guerlain has released Mon Guerlain L’essence, a flanker to the Mon Guerlain line. Exuding beauty, the Mon Guerlain line has been an attractive fragrance for women since 2017. Since its conception, Academy Award Winner Angelina Jolie has been the face of the collection.
L’essence is filled into a stunning, short and stout bottle. The house’s name is etched into the lower portion of the bottle, just below the pink, floral-toned juice. Sitting around the neck is a ribbed necklace, right below the umbrella-shaped cap.
Mon Guerlain L’essence uses an inviting Bergamot and Lavender at the top. Down in the heart are Jasmine Sambac and Plumeria for a continuation of freshness. Finally, Sandalwood and Vanilla pair in the base for a sweet and dense conclusion.
The original Mon Guerlain utilized the same top notes as L’essence, moving towards Iris and Rose along with Jasmine in the heart. As well, the fragrance concludes with Vanilla and Sandalwood along with Coumarin, Licorice, Benzoin and Patchouli.
Two notable flankers from this line are the Eau de Toilette and the Eau de Parfum Intense. Both of which were released back to back, offering two very different takes on the Mon Guerlain scent profile. Bergamot and Lavender are apparent in both releases, but the comparison quickly flips.
The EDT focuses heavily on florals while the EDP Intense dials in the Vanilla note and cranks it up to 1000. Overall, L’essence seems to be more influenced by the original release on paper.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain L’essence is currently available for purchase! On Guerlain’s website, there is a directory to help aid you in your search for a boutique that has the fragrance. As of right now, the scent is available in a 50ml for $95 USD.
