My Way Le Parfum by Giorgio Armani: A Refined Take
Armani has had its share of hits along the way, including My Way, which is only 2 years old and is already on its 5th flanker with the release of the Le Parfum version. Le Parfum is a bit deceptive because this is an Eau de Parfum. It’s honestly not very exciting when companies churn out so many flankers in such a short span. It makes it seem like a half-hearted effort to me, but alas, here we are.
The marketing gives the standard enthusiastic breakdown about being an individual and paving your own way, as many do. However, these fragrances rarely impart that when 40,000 people buy the scent. However, we do know this is probably going to be a darker and smoother version of the original My Way. A citrusy explosion of Calabrian bergamot is met with bitter orange and orange blossom to provide an energizing jolt. A heart of sensual tuberose leads to a base of rich bourbon vanilla and warm cedar. Warm ambrette and precious blue iris provide depth and character to the blend, lending a warm and powdery aroma, while white musk works to bolster the other notes.
This could be an example of another flanker that is an instant classic or one that just falls into obscurity. I guess time will tell. It does have potential, but with 2 flankers dropping each year, it seems like it would be hard to shake the feeling that this might be a rushed release. However, it is an Armani, so I doubt they will produce something that feels unpolished, as they have a name to uphold. So, I would err on the side of sampling this and not rushing to buy full bottles when it releases, but that is just my opinion.

The bottle is amazing, honestly. The shades of pink and dark blue just look classy and fit. The dark blue gemstone affixed to the cap is also a very nice touch. It is also a refillable bottle. It comes in a 30ml or 50ml EDP and a 100ml refill. They are priced at 88.95, 125, and 145 euros respectively.
