Nishane has just unveiled their newest contribution to the world of perfumery, introducing TIME CAPSULE COLLECTION, a set of four different Fragrances.
The philosophy behind the creation of TIME CAPSULE COLLECTION, as the house puts it, is driven by the concept of time and space and our human experience on this Earth. Nishane wanted to create four distinctive scents that tell four different stories. The idea was to create a time capsule for perfumes that will tell future generations stories of today through the language of scents.
In keeping with the theme of language and universality, the house has specifically chosen the Esperanto language to name their scents since Esperanto is a universal language spoken everywhere to further create a sense of “equal communication between people of different native tongues” as stated by the house.
The four Fragrances in the collection are Papilefiko by Dominique Ropion, Tempfluo by Anne Flipo, Tero by Carlos Benaim and Kredo by Jean-Louis Sieuzac.
Nishane Papilefiko: Butterfly Effect in Esperanto
“PAPILEFIKO is inspired by Papilia Efiko which means Butterfly Effect in Esperanto. Just like the butterfly effect – a property of chaotic systems by which small changes in primary conditions can lead to great-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system– one individual’s action eventually will affect the flow of the whole world. Any small action taken would trigger other actions that would be followed by greater consequences. Through its adventurous and galvanized aromas of the world, this scent is intended to provoke and spark the desire to act.”
Papilefiko was created by The master perfumer Dominique Ropion and features top notes of Cardamom, Coriander and Citrus, followed by heart notes of Lavandin, Artemisia and Jasmine, and base notes of Fir balsam, Moss and Styrax.
Nishane Tempfluo:Time Flow in Esperanto
“The law of physics implies that the passage of time is an illusion.
Sense of time is measured by someone’s own perception of the duration of the indefinite and unfolding of events. The perceived time interval between two successive events is referred to as perceived duration
As the humanity is in the same time period now, with this perfume dedicated to the unity of time, we aim to remind that “we all live once, and we must seize the day”. Carpe diem!
This perfume is dedicated to the way our perspective of time affects the way we live. Well-implemented time management may result in positive outcomes or result in what we are doing. With this scent, we aim to picture the flow of modern times that are full of innovational changes.”
Nishane Tempfluo was created by The Master Perfumer Anne Flipo and features top notes of Bergamot oil, Mandarin and Saffron, followed by Jasmine sambac absolute, Orange flower and Praline, and base notes of Cashmere wood, Cedarwood and Vanilla.
Nishane Time capsule collection Tero: Earth in Esperanto
Even with billions of planets out there, finding a carbon copy of the Earth seems unlikely (at least until today). Such a planet would have to have undergone the same steps in its evolution to get to a similar state to our “now”
So we all live in the same “place”: our planet earth and we are made up from the earth in a complex yet simple way. In a lot of ways, we are very similar to the earth. We go through cycles as human beings just as the earth goes through cycles, just on different scales. The earth grows and dies, it changes and shifts, it warms up and cools down, the earth produces life and is fed by the things it creates.
The earth asks us to take care of it so that in doing so we take care of ourselves and our future generations, plants, animals, air, and water. It asks us to be aware that we are as much a part of the earth than anything else and the earth and its nature is a part of everything
The earth asks us to be content with how it is, to be content with ourselves and know that everything will change and grow at the pace and ways it needs to. To not push it over its limits, to not turn nature into something we can’t even call natural anymore. The earth asks us as humans to keep it clean and healthy, to keep ourselves clean and healthy Accordingly, this perfume is dedicated to the world we all live in and we invite people to sense the earthy aromas that prevail in the scent.”
Nishane Time Capsule Collection Tero was created by The Master Perfumer Carlos Benaim and features top notes of Salty Caramel, Black pepper and Sichuan pepper absolute, followed by heart notes of Patchouli and Cinnamon bark, and base notes of Vetiver oil Haiti, Amber and Oakwood.
Nishane Time Capsule Collection Kredo: Belief in Esperanto
“It’s no secret humans are social creatures with beliefs that are, literally, all over the map. What wasn’t known was how those beliefs are influenced by our social interactions
Beliefs are the assumptions we hold to be true. They stem from real-life experiences. As human beings, our values and beliefs affect the quality of our life, our work, and our
Since what we believe is what we experience, we tend to think that our beliefs are founded on reality. In fact, it is our beliefs that shape our experiences.
The beliefs that we hold are a critical and essential part of our identity. They could be religious, moral or cultural; but they are part of us and reflect who we are.
With this perfume, Nishane wants to depict how beliefs shaped up human lives and how these various beliefs interact and conflict throughout history.”
Nishane Kredo was created by The Perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac and features top notes of Pink Pepper, and Cardamom, followed by a middle note of Osmanthus absolute, and base notes of Oud accord, Sandalwood, and Suede.
Nishane Time Capsule collection will be available on the official website in 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.
