Byzantine Amber is the third fragrance that, together with Libertine Neroli and Unspoken Musk, forms the series specifically dedicated to the glorious raw materials of perfumery, reinterpreted according to the style of the House.

Byzantine Amber is an intense and decadent perfume, like a great civilization in the final stages of its glory. Salome by Gustave Moreau is a painting capable of capturing the splendor and drama of this olfactory work.

The splendor of Byzanthium:
The beautiful mosaics of Byzantine civilization, such as those of Ravenna, have shiny gold flakes that are not perfect because they wear out over time. This sense of theatrical and luminous splendor accompanied by a dark and obscure side inspired Byzantine amber.

The geranium is rosy, spicy, slightly green, contrasting with the dry minerality of ambergris and styrax. The backbone of this work is a familiar structure, an amber accord enriched with a spice that makes it sensual: cinnamon. This warm and shiny accord is darkened by leathery, smoky and animal aspects that give intensity and character to the composition.”
