Singulier By Boucheron: An Elegant Release for Men

The vaunted Parisian house of Boucheron has released another offering, Singulier, to their portfolio. The fragrance is intended for men, which is noteworthy being that the prized jeweler has not released a fragrance aimed towards the masculine market since 2017.

Singulier revolves around aromatic cedar and uses notes to boast this well-loved woody ingredient. A pairing of bergamot and juniper berries breathe life into the composition with an energetic freshness. Lavender and sage create a time-tested mélange that adds depth to the smoldering smell of cedar, which gives a slightly resinous touch that feels very modern. The perfume seeks to employ fresh ingredients with a base of rich accords to create intrigue and contrast.

“This aromatic woody fragrance is built on cedar, representing my vision of a new classic while remaining modern. I used the two qualities of cedar to emphasize the creamy nature of this ingredient as well as its slightly smoky side. These combine perfectly with the aromatic notes of sage and lavender. It’s like I’ve dressed this gorgeous wood in many different shades of blue. I also played with two types of patchouli by mixing its essence with healingwood™, a fraction of this ingredient stripped of old-fashioned accents, which gives this ingredient a real sophistication.” – Caroline Dumar, perfumer

The fragrance is housed in a dark blue bottle with silver text that represents the modern class. The silver accents and black cap further this thought process. It’s streamlined and minimalist, while still being elegant. It will be available this month in a 50ml and 100ml Eau de Parfum format.
