Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum: A Fresh Take on the Mediterranean
Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum is set to release in the near future. The fragrance is an aromatic woody scent that was previously released in an Eau de Parfum concentration.
The original release of Costa Azzura had a fairly long and detailed note breakdown. The fragrance focused heavily on the aquatic note of Seaweed and citrus accords which came in the form of Lemon and Yellow Mandarin. As well, the original release had many woodsy accords.
The Parfum variant features a mere five notes, focusing on the short note breakdown that is found in many other Tom Ford Parfum flankers. On the top, we simply have Italian Lemon. Below in the heart are notes of Oakmoss and Cypress. Finally, Cistus Absolute and Amber conclude the base.
Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum seems to be straying away from its aquatic roots in this flanker. The team has presumably decided to hone in on a single, high-quality citrus and a few musky and woody heart and base notes.
“Costa Azzurra Parfum exudes a fresh atmosphere through the crisp Italian lemon, while the dense coastal forest is palpable. is illuminated by magnified oak extract and cypress. Beautiful cistus absolute and harmony of ambers are illuminated – while capturing the spirit of private, unfettered luxury,” says the Tom Ford team.
I speculate that the fragrance will be very easy to wear, focusing more on producing a clean combination of citrus and wood. As well, there will most likely be a musk accord that gives off a distinguished characteristic once paired with the other aromas.
Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Parfum is packaged in a manner that follows other Tom Ford Parfum flankers. It will take the exact shape of the original, slightly altering its presentation by featuring a gold exterior. The fragrance is available in 50 and 100ml sizes, retailing for $145 USD and $204 USD respectively.
