Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Parfum: The Impeccable Taste of Tom Ford
Tom Ford has always had a style that makes men like me green with envy. The sheer suave that he displays in his perfectly tailored outfits is top-notch, but we could expect no less from the brand that clothed Daniel Craig in his tenure as James Bond. A new take on an old favorite has been announced by the famous American brand, Grey Vetiver Parfum, which promises to be an even deeper and more charismatic take on the original.
To embody the idea of a stylish gentleman, one raw material is used time after time, vetiver. Vetiver’s classy grassy facets that mix with bold characteristics of earth are the perfect complement to a man’s wardrobe. Don’t be shy ladies, vetiver is for you too! Grey Vetiver combines three different vetivers, which are sourced by sustainable means, to complete the main body of the elegant scent.
Notes: Saffron, Orange blossom, Vetiver
The charismatic woody note is warmed by spicy saffron, in what the brand calls the world’s most expensive spice, which is accurate. The vibrant floral facet of orange blossom rings in, to lift the composition into a fresher scent. I have a feeling that this one will focus more on the woody aspect and less on the grassy part like its older brother does.
I will be the first person to tell you that I adore vetiver. It is my favorite woody note, my affair with it has stronger feelings than even oud. Vetiver just fits me, and I am super excited to see this release come out. I imagine that this scent will not be totally unique but will be on par with the quality that is displayed by Roja Dove’s Vetiver series, which are very fine scents in the genre, even if they are a bit pricey.
The new Tom Ford comes in the same bottle as the previous iteration but clad in luxurious silver to portray the silvery aspect of the perfume. It will likely come in a 50ml and 100ml size, as the EDP did. A price has yet to be announced, and it has no official listing for purchase when this article was composed.
